[R1] Tenable Core on Oracle Linux 8 General Advisory

Synopsis

Tenable Core is currently built on CentOS 7, which will be reaching end of life (EoL) on June 30, 2024. As a result of the approaching CentOS 7 EoL, Tenable Core is moving to Oracle Linux 8.

Solution

Oracle Linux 8 introduces many new security features, enhancements, and changes. Oracle Linux 8 builds are currently available for Nessus, NNM, Web Application Scanner and Security Center on Tenable Downloads.

Existing Tenable Core deployments may be migrated to the Oracle Linux 8 Tenable Core platform by following the guides listed in the Additional References section below.
